This may be TMI but I need some advice and wanting to know if anyone has...
Try drinking more water and take fish oil capsules each day. I had been taking two (recommended dose), but then I started taking a third one and suddenly intercourse became easy and comfortable again.
If it's not though, then perhaps give up that part of lovemaking for awhile. Getting tense is bound to make it uncomfortable and fear of pain will make you tense.
If you use a lubricant, be extra careful choosing one. Some can make things much worse! Stay far away from the warming ones. My health food store recommended some, but I haven't tried them yet, because the fish oil made such a difference.
I also found that using a PH balanced wash when I shower helped, because other soaps started burning before I could even rinse them off and as we all know, Lupus can take a tiny irritation and blow it way up.
You may also make an appointment with your gynocologist. I had that problem before I had my hysterectomy. The doc did a pelvic exam and papsmear. It was found that I had pre-cancerous cells on my cervix. I did several cryo-procedures (they freeze and cut cancerous cells). Finally I asked to have hysterectomy. I haven't had any problems since. I'm not saying that's what you have, but better safe to check it out for peace of mind. Everything has only gotten better
I have a condition called interstitial Cystitis and it can make love making very painful, during and after. I use an ice pack wrapped in a towel afterward and it helps immensely. Jolene is right, a visit to ur gyno may be ur best bet. There's plenty of things that it could be. Also if ur around menopause, it could be a hormonal thing. Good luck!!
I'm so sorry my best friend. I love you and hope you find out what's causing this. (((( HUGS)))) See you next week. Love you bunches.
I am glad u asked this. I have been having the same problem. So far the only thing that's worked for me though was the warming lubricant. But I have an appt with my gyno on the 30
have you been tested for sjogrens as it dries everything out.
I have a reaction to my husbands "fluids" almost like an allergic reaction. I am a mess with itch and burning if we dont use a condom every time. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ hugs
Tammy-Rose Hale-Hammond, I saw a documentary that showed some women are actually allergic to semen! They had terrible reactions to their hubby's semen so the doctor made an ointment or something for them that prevented the reaction! I'll have to look and see if I can find our the show's name :)
Katrina I had a gyno tell me that once.... But I think it has to do with lupus and my doc is confused on what to do
