I have severe Raynauds, so I am currently seeking treatment to heal some damaged skin tissue on several fingertips, and focusing the direct laser therapy on my Calcinosis. I will keep you posted on the results. I haven't found a solution to that yet, and they can be pretty painful and uncomfortable too. Cathy is still my therapist today, and we're working on it.

I ask that patients look into this. You can also purchase the necessary equipment to use at home as well. You can check it out at There are also many other companies out there. This just happens to be the equipment that I have been using for almost 5 years.

It worked for me. So maybe it can help you too.

  • Thank you Lorna! I understand prices vary but can you give me a ball park figure on cost. Thanks

  • This is what my moms fingers looked like. She had parts amputated and a toe was amputated completely. It blows my mind that she struggles for drs to diagnose her correctly.

  • This was the one, way far gone ulcer, having light therapy. After the pic on the bottom right, that top part just fell off and there was no broken skin underneath. It was closed and healed.

  • I pay $45CAD for a 45 minute treatment.

  • It's covered as massage therapy.

  • Whoa! That's impressive. Let's get this info to scleroderma specialists. Any ideas?

  • Lorna Stacey can I pls share this on my page?

  • Thanks for sharing Lorna! This could help lots of people

  • I've done light therapy for years now. It's very helpful and helped my toe that was gangrene, to become viable tissue again. Glad it's helping you!!!

  • What does full body therapy do for your skin?

  • Oh wow! Thats pretty reasonable. I might have to check around here for therapists. Thanks so much

  • Be careful at the tanning salons. Many of them still have uv lights in those beds. They are not always honest or even aware that the lighting for those beds are not completely uv free even though they are promoting them to be.
