  • Hi, Shelley! So glad your tests in the hospital were ok. Your doctor is being cautious. it is always best to rule out heart related pain before saying it is lupus or chest wall relate. I also have chest pain at times. It has been due to heart part of the time and more recently more due to lupus/fibromyalgia. I've been having a lot of pain in ribs and sternum, and they are extremely tender to touch. My chest hurts even when sitting still and have some shortness of breath. Our cases are very complicated, and your doctor is just being thorough. Let us know how your testing turns out. hugs and spoons <3 hoping you have a restful and more comfortable night.

  • Thanks so much, Stacey! It helps ease my mind a bit that I'm not the only one experiencing chest pain. I haven't been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but exhibit some of the symptoms, I think. Hopefully the stress test will turn out just fine. I appreciate you and everybody else here!! :)

  • You're welcome hon'! this is a wonderful group and so happy to be making so many new friends. You will be in my prayers. Glad to help ease your mind a bit. Be sure to let us know... :)

  • Went to the rheumy wed. My breast bone is slight inflamed, has been for months. I had x-ray done two months ago. nothing serious just normal lupus stuff. Feel better Shelley.

  • Thanks for the info, Sharlene!! I hope your imflammation gets better soon. :)

  • i just came back from the ER with the same thing, scary because this was a new pain i never experienced before, yes i have had pleurisy three times this year, but this was totally different. All test came back good and they said it was inflammation of the chest cavity.

  • Oh wow Dee! I'm glad you're ok! It is scary especially when we hear that people with lupus are more prone to cardiovascular issues. I hope you get to feeling better soon!
