  • can you quickly get in your PCP?

  • I wouldn't be able to until tomorrow and even then it's questionable

  • I always tell my kids if they are asking about the ER, they probably need to go.

  • I agree with Lisa. Please consider going to ER soon.

  • I guess I'm a little late.. But If they suspect it, they will probably want to do a spinal tap at the ER. We think I had it as a teen, but I declined the tap. I would go in though, it really affected me, and I don't just mean I was really sick. During and for a good while after I had trouble with writing and even a little slurring (to put it mildly, I was a little slow for a while after..

  • Major symptom that made me go in was a migraine. I know I had fever at some point and extreme exhaustion too, but the rest is a big blur.

  • Gosh, I hope you're feeling better by now. I would go to the ER, but I'm a weenie. Do what you think is right.

  • I hope you went to the ER to at least rule out the meningitis. It is just not good to wait around for more symptoms especially if you have a fever, neck pain when you put your down on your chest. Any headaches, nausea and vomiting?

  • More likely craniocervical instability.

  • So weird, I kept telling my husband I felt "slow" yesterday. I felt an overwhelming fatigue and that my brain just wasn't working as normal.

  • I'm usually a weenie too but last time I went to ER in Tally, I was there for 10 hours ☹️

  • Thanks everyone! I didn't end up going to ER, but I saw my PT and she thinks it's referred pain from a disk in my neck. My insurance declined a MRI so I just play the waiting game until I do so many weeks of PT

  • Headaches and nausea, but no vomiting and no fever. My chest does hurt really bad, but I've had Costochondritis for the past week too, so hard to really tell if that's related.

  • I've wondered about this for a while. I also have a lot of Chiari symptoms (including low lying tonsils)

  • I've had viral meningitis when I was in my 20s. I had a high fever 105.

  • Glad you didn't have to go to the ER. Hope you get answers soon. For further reference a tell tale sign of Meningitis is a purple rash on the back of your neck.

Glad your doctor didn't think that's what it was.

  • Need MRI with and without contrasts of head and neck if not already done!

  • I had one two years ago that showed low lying tonsils and disc degeneration but my insurance recently declined a current MRI. Playing their game and completing PT and then being revaluated by my doctor.
